After the repairs were completed, Ms. Smith returned home, though a lien was now placed on her home. However, living on a fixed income, and unable to make payments on the new lien, she watched her house head to foreclosure with no way to pay off the lien. One option she had heard about, but was skeptical of, was a Reverse Mortgage. Ms. Smith made a call to HomeSafe in January to learn more about a solution that could help save her home.

Tom Short, agent for HomeSafe, spoke to Ms. Smith that evening and assured her a Reverse Mortgage was a viable solution to her situation. "I explained that she had a lot of wealth stuck in her home, but just couldn't access it. Not long after they first spoke on the phone, Short scheduled a meeting with Ms. Smith to discuss her possibilities further. I was determined to make sure we could help her retain the ownership of her home," Short explains.

Over the next few months, Mr. Short attended six court hearings with Ms. Smith to prove to the court that a Reverse Mortgage could cure the default, prevent the foreclosure, and would be able to pay off the lien on her property. "The entire process was much longer than normal due to the complication of pending foreclosure, but I take pride in knowing that I was able to help her stay in her home and become comfortable in retirement." Short says.

Short was able to succeed in preventing the foreclosure and helped to restore safety and peace of mind to Ms. Smith. Now in a newly rebuilt and remodeled home with no monthly mortgage payment, Ms. Smith only needs to pay her property taxes and insurance. After all she has been through, and by coming so close to losing her home, the peace of mind she now has is priceless.

In a story aired by National Public Radio (NPR) on April 8th the Department of Veterans Affairs projects to speed up the process for adjudicating the disability claims for veterans were highlighted. This includes the DOMA-VBA Pilot Project currently underway.

"This story brings much needed attention to the challenges faced by disabled veterans in getting their claims for disability allowances adjudicated. DOMA is proud to be working with the VBA on the pilot project to speed up the time taken for a veteran to receive adjudication of his or her claim," comments Wayne DeAtley, DOMA Senior Vice President.

DOMA's pilot project, awarded in October, 2010 is focused on retrieving health records for veterans from third party healthcare providers. Prior to the pilot launch this would take in excess of 40 days on average for the VBA to retrieve the records and create the complete health record required for adjudication. The pilot project plans t0 reduce this time to 7 to 10 days. Once the complete records are assembled they are made available to the VBA through DOMA's digital document management software.

"Success of the DOMA – VBA Pilot project will be an important proof of concept moving towards faster adjudication of disability claims. We believe this pilot is an important piece of the overall VA strategy to support veterans and are excited to be working on such a meaningful project," continues DeAtley.

The first Aldborough Creative show will be at The Church Room, Aldborough on Monday 30th May, 2011. The US EPA has ruled that Partial Flow Dilution (PFD) technology, as demonstrated in conclusive testing with Sierra Instrument's BG®3, is now legally recognized as an alternative to traditional Constant Volume Sampling (CVS). A 5-year cooperative effort between Sierra and the US EPA resulted in a BG3 vs CVS multiple engine, two-lab correlation study (this required the measurement of PM over a two-decade range in concentration levels). The study was performed to prove that Sierra's BG3 complies as a suitable, fully compliant alternative method to CVS for certification of engines tested on 2007 and Tier IV transient test cycles.

Philip Kramer has filed a mass joinder lawsuit against Wells Fargo/Wachovia (WELLS) (Nelson v. Wells Fargo, Superior Court of California, Superior Court of Los Angeles, case number: BC 452 264) in what is potentially the most significant and precedent-setting legal action taken against lenders as a result of the national foreclosure crisis, it was announced today by Philip Kramer, Esq. of Kramer & Kaslow.

The firm has filed suit on behalf of a mass joinder of plaintiffs seeking damages and injunctive relief as a result of what it calls the bank's fraud and multiple violations of Local, State, and Federal consumer protection laws. Relief is being sought for fraud, to stop the illegal sale of plaintiffs' homes, to force the bank to cease and desist from their conduct, as well as to seek compensatory damages on behalf of the plaintiffs.

Mr. Kramer says that the lawsuit alleges WELLS FARGO perpetrated a massive fraud, also constituting unfair competition upon borrowers that devastated the values of their residences, resulting in the loss of net worth even as Wells Fargo enriched itself by knowingly selling financial instruments based on a value the bank knew to be unwarranted. Mr. Kramer also claims that Wells Fargo further intended to deprive numerous rights and remedies for the problems they caused the borrowers and believes that the harm done to the plaintiffs is exceeded only by the scale of the bank's conduct as asserted in the plaintiffs' suit.

According to court documents, the lawsuit claims the Bank disregarded underwriting standards and implemented a massive fraud that was concealed from borrowers and other mortgagees on an unprecedented scale. The lawsuit alleges that, as a result of the Bank's actions, borrowers lost equity in their homes, their credit ratings and histories were destroyed and they incurred unnecessary costs and expenses.

Mr. Kramer says that the lawsuit challenges the fraudulent and illegal use of MERS in connection with the loans and mortgages, as well as the defendants' failure to perform their obligations pursuant to accepting TARP funds.

The lawsuit's filing coincides with a recent decision in a class action suit in Maryland that invalidated more than 10,000 foreclosure cases managed by Wells Fargo Mortgage because affidavits in the cases were signed by a Wells Fargo "robo-signer" who, according to court documents, attested to the authenticity of foreclosure documents without any knowledge about them, as well as signing other false statements in the case Manson v. Wells Fargo Mortgage LLC, 08-cv-12166, U.S. District Court, District of Massachusetts (Boston).

Inflatable slides are one of the most popular and considerably new items in the party supply or rental businesses. Slides are the best movable or rentable amusement rides that can be transported and set up anywhere on a playground, backyard or a park. They are known to bring fun and joy to all ages. Some of the summer's best playful amusements are the different varieties of water themed inflatables. A good quality water slide's stitches are covered with special, hot sealed, seam sealing tape, which eliminates the contact of the thread with water. Bouncer Slide Combos.

Inflatable bouncer slide combo units are two piece combinations of a moonwalk and a slide. General bouncers are specifically designed for jumping fun, whereas the combo units include an attached slide. Combos are very popular items amongst the inflatable moonbouncers. Some of the combo units have the advantage of using them together or separate. Detaching the slide from the bouncer gives the opportunity to rent one unit at a time. They can also be made to use as wet and dry.

Pros:

Combo units give more options to party rentals. It combines two popular categories in to one. A single unit allows participants not only to jump but to slide as well. Party rentals can get even more benefits by having wet and dry combos. Renting the same unit as water combo increases the rental cost in average by 50%. With this option one can rent it as a water unit during a hot summer (2-5 months with high rates) and as dry unit during the remaining portion of the year. This category can be rented in average 9-12 months out of the year.    

Cons:

A combination of two units in to one comes with its price and In an effort to keep     the size and the weight of the combo reasonable, manufacturers often make bouncing area or slide smaller which can sometimes affect the functionality of the slide. A slide is always fun when it is high and fast.

Inflatable Obstacles.

Inflatable obstacle courses allow for participants to have races and compete against one another. Besides the great concept of having all in one such as bouncer, slide and inflatable obstacle challenging games in one unit, obstacle courses also have beautiful designs. Using different hues of vinyl, obstacle courses are made in square, round or maze looking shapes. Obstacle courses can be as gigantic as approximately eighty feet long and twenty feet wide and can also have an eighteen to twenty feet high slide. Such gigantic inflatable units are usually permanently set up indoors at a Family Entertainment Center.

Pros:

This category is a must have for long established rental businesses. It makes established businesses stand apart from new starters. Huge obstacle courses are usually rented during festivals, school events and other events where the number of participants is significantly higher. More participants and larger crowd means more visibility and more business for rental companies. Most obstacle courses     come with two pieces: Slide and the obstacle. These units can be rented     separately and having a detachable pool for the slide gives you the third option to use the slide as a water unit.

Cons:

Higher cost, they are heavier units to move and set up and they require more space to set up. There are also limited events where can be rented.

The inflatable industry has grown over the past few decades and turned into one of the most recognized, entertaining fields throughout the world. Having an inflatable at a party has now become the standard. Needless to say, the renting of these jumping castles, combos, slides, and obstacles has become quite a lucrative business for those who have invested in these giant inflatable fun structures. But that's not the only good news. There is another upside to this industry as well and that is putting a smile on children's faces.
