Need Help with your iPad? Try the new “Apple Support Communities”

Posted: 16 Apr 2011 11:33 PM PDT

Earlier today, Apple launched a new version of its support discussion forums, dubbed “Apple Support Communities.” The new website replaces the old version of the company’s discussion board, used by iPad, iPhone and Mac owners to discuss issues, and find potential solutions to their problems.

Just like the old discussion forums, the new site allows users to open new topics, consult existing topics, and interact with others. However, the new Apple Support Communities offers a brand new user interface, which allows user to ask questions and find answers a lot faster than before – for instance, you will now be notified vie email when someone posts an answer to one of your questions or comments.

Overall, the forum looks a lot like more traditional discussion boards, as users are now ranked depending on how helpful they are, and how often they post, to help others gauge the relevance of their answers.

If you happen to have an issue with your iPad, or want to discuss with / help fellow iPad owners, simply head over to the new Apple Support Communities via this link.

Toys R’ Us Confirms iPad 2 On Sale Starting Tomorrow

Posted: 16 Apr 2011 11:14 AM PDT

Two weeks ago, we reported about the iPad 2 coming to a Toys R’ Us near you. The company has been training its employees to sell Apple’s new tablet, after details were leaked on a photograph that showed iPad 2 specific data and details to employees during a recent training session.

Toys R’ Us has launched a shopping page informing buyers about specific stores and locations that will carry the iPad 2.

Multiple sources are reporting that Toys R’ Us will most likely begin selling the iPad 2 across multiple locations tomorrow (April 17). If the launch is similar to what Best Buy, Target and other stores experienced, we expect to see small inventory levels that should increase over time.

Given the worldwide shortage of iPad 2s, many have been skeptical that Apple would add another distributor like Toys R’ Us to the mix. However, according to 9to5Mac, a flyer/memo shows that Toys R' Us plans to sell the 16 GB and 32 GB WiFi-only iPad 2 for $499 and $599, respectively. The U.S. based company plans to sell the 16 GB model in white color only.

Toys R’ Us also plans to sell the Smart Covers, however you should verify with each store because the majority of stores will carry the polyurethane models only.

If you still haven't been able to secure an iPad 2, you have a few options this weekend. Verify the nearest Toys R’ Us store, or you might want to try your luck at Best Buy, because they’re also running an iPad 2 promotion this weekend.
