| Pocket Tanks Deluxe – Weapons Galore iPhone App Review by Slimothy Posted: 12 Mar 2011 01:00 PM PST  iPhone App Review- One of the main features a game needs to be able to thrive in the AppStore is content. This is one area where Pocket Tanks Deluxe is not lacking by any means. The game-play of Pocket Tanks is quite simple; shoot projectiles at your enemy and have the highest score by the "10th Volley". When I said the game was not lacking in content, I was referring to the weapons. There are literally over one-hundred (110 to be exact) different weapons to experiment with. There are also 3 in-app purchases which will allow you to gain an even bigger arsenal. These weapons are all very unique too, and do not get bland quickly. The maps vary quite a bit in terrain, but not landscape. The colors are the same every time, but some maps (which are randomly generated) have high mountains while others have flat or low-lands. This game is most fun when at a party with a friend. The two player mode is extremely fun, and works well even though you both play on the same device. Speaking of multiplayer, this is where the game is lacking; no online multiplayer at all. This is a huge downfall. This app would be incredible if it had online multiplayer support. It sort of makes up for a bit of this with a "Target Practice" mode where you can test out all of the different weapons and get a feel for which ones you like best. When you choose "One Player" mode, you are able to choose a nickname and a color. The color is the color your tank will be on screen when you are playing. After choosing this, you can choose the difficulty. The difficulty levels are 1-10, with 1 being easiest and 10 being hardest. I generally play on 4 since it seems most balanced with my current skill level at the game. After this screen, you can choose the weapons you want to have during the game. If you can't make up your mind about which weapons you want to use (since there are so many), you can click the "Random" button and it will randomly set you up with 10 different weapons. After this, you can hop right into the game-play! You can change the Angle and Power that your shots have, and you can also "move" four times during the game. Overall, the game takes a simple concept of shooting at each other but makes it very addicting. I recommend this to anyone who enjoyed the free version of Pocket Tanks. Slimothy

| Stunning Graphics & Game Speed-Real Racing 2 HD iPad App Review Posted: 12 Mar 2011 10:24 AM PST  iPad App Review-After waiting in line for 7.5 hours yesterday I walked away from Best Buy in Wesley Chapel, Florida with an iPad 2 32 GB black. First thing I wanted to do was to demo an iPad 2 optimized application and Real Racing 2 HD was the first choice. Once I loaded this application I was not disappointed, even after forking out an additional $9.99 for this app, making 2 different iPad apps I now own for the same app. On first look it appears the games are identical in game play, but the graphics and game play speed was significantly different.
