| Disney’s Finding Nemo: My Puzzle Book App for iPad Now Available Posted: 17 Mar 2011 09:55 PM PDT
Based on the movie by Disney Pixar, Finding Nemo: My Puzzle Book is well made and easy for kids to play. Colorful illustrations, authentic sound effects, entertaining music and professional narration bring this interactive book to life on the iPad. Kids experience an interactive adventure playing with puzzles and collecting fish tank treasures as they move from page to page through the story. What happens when Nemo’s first day of school turns into the journey of a lifetime? Join Nemo, Dory and Marlin in this fun interactive puzzle book and find out. Finding Nemo: My Puzzle Book provides users with three options to read: have the book read to you, record your own personalized version and turn "auto-turn pages" on and off. All options are easily accessible by tapping the mouse ears in the lower right corner of the screen. Readers also have the option to select their level of difficulty for the four interactive jigsaw puzzles, jump to desired pages using the visual index and decorate the aquarium at the end of the story with treasures they collect as they read. Disney has once again created an entertaining app for kids. We enjoyed the Finding Nemo: My Puzzle Book and predict it will be just as successful as their other three puzzle apps. You can download Finding Nemo: My Puzzle Book from the App Store now for $0.99. » Related posts:

| Crisis in Japan Will Likely Impact iPad 2 Availability Posted: 17 Mar 2011 09:08 PM PDT
“The aftermath of the Japanese earthquake may cause logistical disruptions and supply shortages in Apple Inc.'s iPad 2, which employs several components manufactured in the disaster-stricken country—including a hard-to-replace electronic compass, the battery and possibly the advanced technology glass in the display,” IHS iSuppli research indicates. IHS iSuppli reports it has identified five iPad 2 components provided by Japanese suppliers: NAND flash from Toshiba Corp., dynamic random access memory (DRAM) made by Elpida Memory Inc., an electronic compass from AKM Semiconductor, the touch screen overlay glass likely from Asahi Glass Co. and the system battery from Apple Japan Inc. Despite the fact that some suppliers report undamaged facilities, logistical issues are likely to impact most Japanese industries located in the quake zone. Supply and distribution of raw materials, employee absences due to problems with the transportation system and interruptions in the electricity supply all threaten to impact component delivery. The significant number of aftershocks continue to wreak havoc on semiconductor facilities in Japan, which are being forced to put production on hold until aftershocks cease. "Earthquakes ranging from 4 to 7 on the Richter scale will make it impossible to really restart these fabs until the earthquakes stop happening with such frequency," said Dale Ford of IHS. "Every time a quake tops 5, the equipment automatically shuts down." With iPad 2 stock completely sold out in all of the Dallas area Apple, Target, Walmart and Best Buy retail stores we contacted, it appears the last thing Apple needs is more supply issues as it attempts to get more products into the hands of consumers. It remains to be seen just how Apple plans to cope with the higher than expected demand for its second generation iPad, but for the time being we speculate stock numbers will remain low.

The new application is an update to the formerly known Sirius XM Premium Online, and now features a sleek iPad-optimized interface. The main difference from the previous version is the optimized interface for the iPad, which features a much more visual, art-guided channel selection. SiriusXM has also added some fancy album art, artist biographies, and a switch to AAC+ audio format for improved audio quality and better performance over a 3G connection. An additional feature included in the new update is AirPlay support. If you have an iOS device running iOS 4.3, you have the option to share your favorite XM radio stations via AirPlay with an Apple TV or any other AirPlay-compatible audio equipment. | An iPad 2 Photo Booth Experience with IncrediBooth App Posted: 17 Mar 2011 08:26 AM PDT The IncrediBooth iOS app has been very popular for quite some time now. The application gained a lot of popularity due to the flexibility to simply step up, sit down, and get ready to cram as many of your friends together in front of your iOS device. The application brings a real photo booth experience to your iOS devices. Now, IncrediBooth has made it to the iPad 2 as a native application. The iPad 2 already comes with a free native application called Photo Booth. Apple’s Photo Booth is certainly a fun application that lets you play tricks with your photos from funny to artsy to really bizarre. However, the updated IncrediBooth brings a photo booth design that allows you to generate photo strips with four different retro effects. IncrediBooth is compatible with the iPhone 4, fourth generation iPod touch, and now with iPad 2. The developer has also added “single sign-on” support to share your photos via Facebook, and a new “fourth photo setting: Betsy X”. Basically, the application allows you to update your photos with four different effects before you decide to share the resulting images via Facebook, email or simply save it to your Photos collection on your iOS device. If you’re looking for additional photo booth retro style applications, IncrediBooth will work just fine. It is a fun application with great artwork, which does a good job of replicating the photo booth experience you grew accustomed to at amusement parks. A very good download for your iPad 2. IncrediBooth for iPad 2 is available now for $0.99. » Related posts:
