WarPath is the tactical, simultaneous turn-based tank fighting game for the iPad, where players attempt to outwit their friends in top-down shooting battles. Plan moves, position turrets and plant mines to stop enemy tanks in their tracks. For 1-4 players. Players can share one iPad in pass-and-play mode, bringing them all together like a board game, or play alone to test their wits against the AI. Can you create a battle-plan capable of destroying all of your enemies with just four tanks? Unleash the firepower and watch the mayhem unfold! WarPath is fun for all the family – particularly if your family likes tanks. It has been specifically designed for iPad in top-down 2D as an easy to pick up but un-put-downable explosion-fest and features an innovative way-point control system for planning moves. Lonesome players can fight against the cunning AI tanks, programmed with ruthless efficiency to scamper about firing shells at anything enemy-shaped. Or up to four players can battle together in pass-and-play mode. With four tanks in each team, players can drop mines and co-ordinate attacks with deadly accuracy. WarPath will be available for a short time at a special low price while more features, levels and gameplay modes are carefully fine-tuned in our high-tech development laboratory located in the Highlands of Scotland. Each pixel is hand-woven using traditional methods handed down from generation to next generation, fuelled by only the finest Scotch whisky and shortbread. “This is categorically the best game I’ve ever made for iPad” says Stuart, company founder and chief code-weaver. | Publications International, Ltd. Releases First Hands-Free iPad Cookbook Posted: 16 Mar 2011 07:00 AM PDT Lincolnwood, Illinois – Publications International today is pleased to announce the release of “iCookbook,” its first digital cookbook for the iPad. Beautifully designed to be the premiere cooking application for everyday cooks, iCookbook is the first in its class to implement hands-free Voice Command, allowing its users to speak simple instructions, which allows for hands-free use of the iPad while they whip up one of the thousands of home-style recipes available on the app. A companion as essential in the kitchen as an oven or stove, iCookbook is laden with user-friendly features that streamline the entire cooking process. iCookbook starts out with more than 2,000 recipes. Each month, users can download more free recipes, as well as premium content that can be purchased in an in-app store. Many of these recipes are from brand-name favorites like Campbell’s(R), Crock-Pot(R) slow cooker, and Hershey’s(R) – all of which can be easily searched by name, ingredient, type of food, and even occasion (such as “St. Patrick’s Day” or “Spring”). Seasoned cooks can even add their own recipes into iCookbook, ensuring they never lose Grandma’s Super Secret Triple-Choco Chip Cookie recipe. As consumers select their favorite foods, they can add them to the “Meal Builder” section and even create a detailed shopping list to capture missing ingredients. They can also scale a given recipe to suit feeding a romantic dinner for two or group of friends. Because virtually all cooks make some changes to a recipe, cooks can add their own personal notes as well as check out handy ingredient substitutions. Once the users actually get cooking, iCookbook acts as the perfect sous-chef. Using Voice Command, home cooks can keep their iPad’s surface clean by clearly saying simple commands such as “Next” (which skips to the next steps of a recipe), “Timer One” (which displays the first of the app’s three timers), and more. “Our team of food experts worked very hard to create an app that is both inspirational and functional. Every recipe includes beautiful end dish photography and our unique Prepare and Voice Command functions make preparing the recipe more convenient and more fun,” said Jerry Croft, President of the Cooking Division for Publications International. With iCookbook, everyday cooks can find and use tried-and-true recipes that they can prepare with confidence. | Run For Your Life Zombie iPhone Game-Zombie Shock iPhone App Video Posted: 16 Mar 2011 06:39 AM PDT iPhone App Video Summary-I happen to love shooter games for the iPhone. Zombie Shock by BLUE WIND is one of those quirky zombie shooter games that you may have a hard time putting down. The object is to stay alive in both the story mode and survival mode. This is not that easy as you play a character that is running for his life in a hospital gown, armed with some pretty decent firepower. The zombies are relentless in either mode and do not let up. After each wave you have the opportunity to purchase new weapons and upgrade old. Additionally, there are numerous weapons you can arm yourself with, some work better than others. But, you may only have 3 weapons at your disposal at any one time. Watch out and prepare for reloading, as there is a little delay, so plan accordingly. | NOT Rubik’s Cube-Hard iPhone Puzzle App-Kubos iPhone App Video Posted: 15 Mar 2011 04:38 PM PDT iPhone App Video Summary-I played with the Rubik’s cube growing up in the 1980′s and really sucked at it then as I do now. The new iPhone app Kubos by Twisted MindGames is similar to the Rubik’s Cube, but not the same. Kubos is a virtual half puzzle game that requires the user to turn all showing cubes red to advance to the next puzzle. The game has 3 different difficulty settings listed as 1, 2, and 3. There are 4 cubes in #1, 9 cubes in #2, and 12 cubes in #3 difficulty modes. At first glance it would appear that this application is limited on game play, but there is more game play than meets the eye. Each puzzle game is randomly generated so each time you play this game you are playing a new puzzle. Besides that, solving the 9 and 12 cube difficulty levels are really hard, I mean really. I was able to solve the 4 cube, probably mostly by luck, but was unsuccessful at the 9 cube level. Kubos is a great mind numbing puzzle game for anyone who wants a challenge. Watch the iPhone app video below for more information on this application.
