| Tiny Wings – Simplicity At Its Best – iPhone App Posted: 28 Feb 2011 07:01 AM PST  iPhone App Review- Unless you've been living under a rock for the past 2 days, you should have noticed that Tiny Wings has topped Angry Birds on the "Top Paid Apps" chart. At first glance, Tiny Wings doesn't seem to have any substance, re-play value, or fun aspects. It looks like another one of those endless runner games that we've all seen. Well, if that's what you're thinking, you are greatly mistaken. Since it is at the top of the charts, many people will "impulse-buy" this one without even reading reviews. But, since I have your attention, I will explain this amazing casual game to you. First of all, you are a bird…with tiny, insufficient wings for flying. You are trying to fly, but never will. So instead, you use hills to get some air. To do this, you will need to press your finger on the screen when the bird is on a downhill slope to gain momentum. As soon as you are going up, you want to release your finger from the screen to gain maximum speed. As you travel along, you can pick up coins and speed-boost coins. Another neat feature is the fact that the game has objectives in order for you to get a bigger multiplier. This multiplier can help you top the charts (leaderboards) later in the game. Each time you make it to a new island; you gain a little extra "day-time". Day-time is crucial to the game, as it is constantly going away. Once it turns into night, the game is over, so you want to get as far as you can in the amount of time you have.
