The Soundtckr app can be used as a web based service as well from the website www.soundtckr.com. The iPhone app allows for creation of individual music stations based on a band or artist. Those stations will randomly select a song from the band or artist and at times may also provide similar bands and artists in search results. The songs that are returned from the search become the radio station and can be shared via Twitter, Facebook, or through email. Additionally, you can obtain lyrics to most songs and bio’s for bands and artists as well. A few cool features are the ability to view your friends created radio stations and those created by individuals around you. If only I had the upcoming iPad book app Handmade Mother Goose HD with EveryPage by Dr. Charles Kriel/Kriel’s Handmade Games to read to my kids. This new iPad app is a well thought out book application specifically designed for young readers (pre-schoolers). A couple of key features that Dr. Kriel put inside this app for both kids and parents are no navigation from the main page and EveryPage technology. There is no chance for kids to wander away from the main screen and become distracted let alone purchase anything. The EveryPage technology is all the pages of the book, or stories are accessible from the main screen, thus there really is only one primary navigation page, with multiple looks as the individual stories are read. Even better are the tried and true Mother Goose stories and art work not to mention the interaction opportunities in each story for kids. This application developed by Jellyvision is a well made game app with 20 different episodes, which could be considered levels of game play. The episodes revolve around a witty topic with a question that is both historical with a pop culture feel. Overall, this is a very fun app especially for parties or nights out with friends. The app price point is a little stiff for only 20 episodes, however Jellyvision is apparently working on an update with more game play content for FREE.
