Zelda Ocarina Of Time 3D, New Video Shows Opening Visuals

Zelda Ocarina Of Time 3D, New Video Shows Opening Visuals

For fans of the original Zelda game Ocarina of Time, released in 1998 for the Nintendo 64, you should have probably heard by now that the re-release is coming for the new Nintendo 3DS games. Recently a video was revealed (that can be seen below) with the new title sequence that has been remade for the 3DS.

The video should certainly bring back feelings of nostalgia for the players that were great fans of the original game and it should make people happy to see the same opening sequence once again. Aside from the obvious sequence being a returning memory and reminder to old gamers, it certainly makes for a good way to see how the game will look on Nintendo’s latest handheld.

The graphics are heart warming as they still keep the game’s classic atmosphere and mood which is what made Ocarina of Time so special, it still remains to be the old game that we know and love, just pleasantly revitalised and launched onto a new platform for newer and younger gamers to play on and create memories of their own.

We are eager to see more clips from different parts of the game at E3 2011 just prior to the game’s June 19 release date. Check out the video for yourself below, does it bring back fond memories?

More Max Payne 3 Screenshots Appear, Graphics Looks Great

Max Payne 3 has been slow to come out from its shell, however it has begun emerging slowly thanks to new screenshots being posted on the web showing scenes from the game. Rockstar started this process a few weeks ago by posting two images which we thought were hinting the release of the game.

Now Rockstar have released 12 new images from the game (all of which can be seen here) and have created a website dedicated to the game which we think finalizes the argument about a release coming soon. The images tease about possible plots and features in the game which may build a picture of the gameplay.

It is possible that the gamer in this title will be able to use blind-firing round corners, fire from the floor and dive through the air while shooting if the pictures are to reflect the gameplay. Even if the pictures are even for promotional purposes and do not tell us what can be done in the game, they are still enough to cause excitement about this title.

It has been 8 years since the release of the last game Max Payne 2 after being recieved pretty well by the critics so it is nice to see another title being announced to follow-up the two games previously. What do you think of the new screenshots and are you excited to play this new title? We have embedded two of the screens below.

Nissan Leaf and other electric cars got good results in crash testing

The electric cars which also included the Chevrolet Volt had "Good" results in crash tests for front, rear, side, and rollover crash protection. The testing was carried out in exactly the same way as any other vehicle is tested.

They also got good marks for their standard electronic stability control, and joined other economical cars such as the Toyota Prius and the Honda Insight by earning the Top Safety Pick title. This news is added to the Nissan Leaf recently winning the Car of the Year award.

Dissected: HTC Sensation vs. Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo

Every day there seems to be a nice new smartphone being announced or released. Consumers now have a rich variety of handsets to tempt them with many impressive models now available. Today we have an article comparing the HTC Sensation vs the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo.

Paul Briden over at Know Your Mobile has written an article comparing the two handsets. The Sensation is the bigger of the two and slightly heavier, but does come out best for thickness. Like most HTC handsets the Sensation is instantly recognized as an HTC device. It is a nice long and thin handset which has been the norm of late.

While the Neo is going in the opposite direction by being much more compact of the two. Display wise the Sony has a 3.7-inch LED backlit LCD, while the Sensation has a Sony made 4.3-inch S-LCD. The display on the HTC is not only larger, but also has a higher resolution.

A lot of the new smartphones coming to market lately are getting dual-core processors, and the HTC is no different. The Xperia Neo on the other hand has a single core 1 GHz Qualcomm Scorpion processor. Both handsets will run the Android Gingerbread operating system.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo is a pretty good handset, but Sony hasn't future proved it enough. This time last year it would have been one of the best handsets available, but in today's market it is not as good as the HTC.

Which handset do you prefer?

Nintendo Wii 2: What do you Expect to See at E3 2011?

As we recently mentioned yesterday, the Nintendo Wii 2 or Stream has been confirmed and will be featuring at E3 this June which is very exciting news, but what can we really expect to see that hasn’t already been achieved by other consoles out today?

The console has been confirmed for 2012 and people are beginning to wonder what it will be like and what improvements it will act on. Some have already rumoured that it will be more powerful than any console out today, but will the Wii 2 decide to jump onto the 3D bandwagon just like the 3DS and PS3?

Many sources have rumoured that the controller will have a touchscreen panel which seems feasible but will this be enough to compete with the controller-less Kinect or the PS3′s Move controller? We think that Nintendo will have to really pull something special out of the bag to have a good shot at competing and we think we could be in for a treat when E3 comes around.

What do you expect from the Wii 2? Will it be a high-end console or will it follow Nintendo’s regular pattern of producing fun games for a family audience? What new things do you think it will bring us at E3?

Good Time to Invest in Silver: Apps for 2011

Good Time to Invest in Silver: Apps for 2011

It seems that it is a good time to invest in silver in 2011, much like gold had been last year. There are those who believe that the price of silver is in a bubble at this time, but some experts think that it is not true. To give you an idea of how the stocks are going, we have managed to find two apps for 2011.

Before we look at these apps, Silver-Prices has been looking into this whole bubble situation and how it is impossible to tell if it will burst – that's if there is one. Looking at the graph that we have for you below, you have to wonder if the bubble will indeed burst, as it seems to be following a pattern.

Now on to the apps, the first one that we have for you is 'Silver Price' and is free. This is a fast way to check the price of silver, and gives you the price in U.S. Dollars, British Pounds and the Yen. You will also be given details on how much it is to buy and sell.

The second app is called 'Silver Chart' and will cost $2.99. However, this app has much more to offer in the way of information. This not only gives you live silver prices, but also historical ones as well. You can look back at the last 20 years or just 10 minutes ago; this will give you a greater insight into how well silver has been doing over the years.

These are just two silver price apps, we hope they help?

Samsung Galaxy S2 vs. Droid Bionic, Verizon LTE Winner?

Samsung Galaxy S2 vs. Droid Bionic, Verizon LTE Winner?

It was thought that Motorola's Droid Bionic would be the first dual-core handset to use Verizon's LTE network. But as we reported almost a week ago the handset is being delayed, so what will Verizon customers decide to buy now. The Samsung Galaxy S2 is an impressive looking handset, but is not thought to support LTE.

Comparing the Samsung Galaxy S2 vs the Droid Bionic will consumers choose a Verizon LTE handset as the winner? When Motorola announced the Bionic was being delayed they commented on making several enhancements to the handset. Some think this could be to upgrade the processor from 1GHz to 1.2 GHz.

This is similar to what Samsung has recently done with the Galaxy S2, and with a more powerful processor will bring the Bionic up to the level of the HTC Sensation. There is also the HTC Thunderbolt that might not have a dual-core processor, but it is still a worthy handset.

The Samsung Galaxy S2 besides its processor comes with a 4.27-inch 800 x 480 Super AMOLED Plus display. It also has an 8-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel shooter on the front, and supports 1080p video playback and recording. It will also run on Androids 3.0 Gingerbread.

Motorola's Droid Bionic has a 4.3-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen, and also has an 8-megapixel camera. But as the handset has been delayed so Motorola can make changes specs must be changing for the better.

So when both handsets are available would having LTE capabilities make you pick the Bionic over the Galaxy S2?

Earthquake Warning App for iPhone: 10 Second Warning

Earthquake Warning App for iPhone: 10 Second Warning

Tokyo has been in a state of unrest for well over a month now, due to the recent natural disasters, which has had a diverse effect on a number of markets, such as gaming and the auto industry. It is for this reason why a new earthquake warning app for the iPhone has been developed. The application for your Apple smartphone only gives you a 10 second warning, but this can be very valuable in many cases.

Yurekuru call for iPhone is free and has been developed by RC Solution Co., which some of you may know that they specialize in providing information on disasters. This kind of system has been around for a few years now, but it is thanks to the iPhone that has now made it a more affordable option to deliver the warning to the people in Japan.

The way that you know when an earthquake is coming is simple, as an alarm is activated on your iPhone. The message will offer information, such as how strong it will be. You can decide that you do not want the warning if it is only a little shake, only making the phone ring if it goes over a certain level.

10 seconds may not sound like much, but if you are in the home or at work you can get yourself under a table or doorframe. Maybe you could be walking across the road, and you will then have that precious time to get across before things start to happen? Download the app from iTunes.

Have you downloaded the app, has it managed to save your life?

Mortal Kombat 9 (2011): Best Fatality in the Game

Mortal Kombat 9 (2011): Best Fatality in the Game

After having had a chance to play Mortal Kombat thoroughly, well maybe not due to the PlayStation Network downtime, we want to know which fatality is the best in the game, in your opinion. Is Quan Chi the clear winner for you, or does Kung Lao or Kabal steal it?

If you have the game on either the Xbox 360 or PS3, you’ll have a good idea of the fatalities for the characters we mentioned about. Quan Chi has a rather nasty one where he continuously beats the opponent to death with the opponent’s leg after ripping it out of the socket.

Kabal on the other hand has an equally as nasty fatality, one of which has certainly raised a few eyebrows since he performs a disembowel technique, ripping various stomach contents out of his opponent with his trusty blades.

Then of course we come to Kung Lao, and his infamous fatality where he drags his opponents body through his hat on the ground, slicing him in two and then holding up both halves proudly. That fatality was the one which was leaked everywhere prior to the game’s release and got every pumped up since it was a clear sign of Mortal Kombat’s return to the gore which everyone had missed since the days of Mortal Kombat 1,2 and 3.

Do you agree on the above fatalities that they are contenders for the best in the game, or do you have another fatality which you think is the best? Let us know your choices below. On a side note, click here for a video guide through all of the fatalities in the game.

Windows Phone 7.5 is Mango Update: On Par with Android, iOS Yet?

We have some important news for those of you with a Windows Phone 7 handset, as Microsoft has accidentally confirmed that the highly anticipated Mango software update will officially bring the platform version number to 7.5.

Microsoft revealed the details on one of their partner websites, as a screenshot provided by WinRumors shows this. The line containing the details 7.5 has now been removed by Microsoft so it’s clear that this wasn’t intended to be public knowledge just yet.

Just to refresh, the Mango update will add multitasking support for Windows Phone 7 devices, as well as Internet Explorer 9 and Twitter integration. Those are the only confirmed features so far, and Microsoft has told everyone to expect it to land later on in the year, no solid date yet sadly.

Are those new features enough for you, for you to consider switching to Windows Phone 7 compared to the likes of iOS, Android or Blackberry? A lot of you will say that WP7 is nowhere close to matching rival mobile software yet, but a few Windows Phone 7 users out there may think otherwise.

We recently told you about a survey stating that WP7 will overtake iOS by 2015, but do you think that will happen, realistically?

Nook Color: Android eReader Update, Lacks Versatility

Nook Color: Android eReader Update, Lacks Versatility

We already knew that the Nook Color was going to receive an update in April; we also reported that it has now gone live. However, there are still reports that the Android eReader update lacks versatility. We cannot say for certain if it is still an issue with Google's mobile OS, or if it is a fundamental issue with the hardware itself.

No matter what way you look at it, it will never seem to match up to Amazon's Kindle or the iPad 2 – or the original iPad come to that. OK, so we know that it is a little unfair to compare the Nook Color to the iPad, as they are two different beasts, but they both run a mobile OS – so they are kind of similar.

eWeek are those who believe that the Barnes & Noble device will never match the two mentioned above, and have even given ten reasons why. Five of those look at why it lacks versatility, and for the most part we would have to agree – but do you?

There are a few areas where the Nook Color does a better job than the Kindle, but they are few and far between. However, the only thing that the eReader has going for it against the iPad is its price. The Nook is trying to be far more than just an eReader, as it comes with a number of pre-installed apps, but unlike David and Goliath, the giant is winning this battle.

Do you believe that the Nook Color with its new Android update still lacks versatility?

iPhone 5 In September, Timing of 2011 Release

iPhone 5 In September, Timing of 2011 Release

Rumors of the release of the iPhone 5 in September have been gaining momentum, as the timing of the 2011 release could be very important to Apple. We all know that the company usually releases their new version of the smartphone in June, but for some reason it has been suggested that the fifth-generation will be later this year – for what reason, we do not know.

We cannot say for certain if the iPhone will be launched later or not in 2011, as it is all speculation and rumor at this point. However, it makes sense, as the Verizon version has only been available for a few months. We have to wonder if they might be trying to keep Big Red customers happy, rather than worrying about AT&T?

Let us consider that this is all part of Apple's strategy and that they wanted to delay the launch this year. This would mean that both the new iPod Touch and the iPhone 5 would launch at the same time – just before Christmas. Now this could go either way for the company; what way it goes is anyone's guess.

It is no secret that most iPhone 4 owners will wish to upgrade to the new model once released, but will they have the money to do so three months later into the year? That will only be two months away from Black Friday and three months from the holiday season. If we look at it like that, surly Apple will try to launch the device a little closer to the current iPhone cycle?

Do you think that the iPhone 5 will be released in September, if so how will it affect sales?
