London, England (PRWEB UK) 7 May 2011 If you want the most convenient travel to and from the London Olympics next summer, chartering a business jet is the natural choice – but early booking will be essential. Patrick Margetson-Rushmore, chief executive of London Executive Aviation (LEA), one of Europe's largest executive aircraft charter operators, says heavy demand for airline seats and airspace restrictions surrounding the Olympic Park will limit last-minute travel decisions. Margetson-Rushmore says: "From July 13 to September 12, 2012, there will be an inner prohibited airspace zone and an outer restricted zone, about 60 nautical miles across, centred on the Olympic Park. Business jet passengers, who ordinarily expect to be able to charter a flight at very short notice, should be warned that such flexibility may not be possible in these exceptional circumstances. If customers are serious about chartering next summer, we are urging them to book early to ensure an aircraft is available and that there is time to have the flight approved." Only aircraft operating commercial services and meeting strict security requirements, such as LEA's diverse charter fleet of 25 jets, will normally be permitted to fly in the prohibited zone. Even aircraft operating in the wider restricted zone will need to satisfy certain requirements to ensure clear identification and monitoring by air traffic control. Margetson-Rushmore continues: "For an operator like LEA, we must understand the consequences of the airspace restrictions and then communicate those consequences to customers. The UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), air traffic control provider NATS, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the Department for Transport (DfT) are among the many bodies with whom we will be liaising to ensure we operate safely and efficiently within the restrictions." The new G3 Program from Maggie Ayre offers a solution to schools that children will love. The BBC report follows the publication of a survey by the Tata Kids of Steel triathlon series. The survey included 1500 children aged 6-15 and discovered that 22% had never run as far as 400m. In the week before the survey only 46% had ridden a bicycle and 34% had swum the length of a swimming pool. Other studies support the findings of this research. A recent study published by Dr Phillip Nader at the University of California reported that as kids grow from pre-pubescence into teens their rate of activity sharply declines. His research followed 1000 children in the US for 6 years and discovered that whilst the average nine year old managed three hours of moderate activity every day this had decreased to just 49 minutes by the time they were 15. Dr Nader's recommendation that there should be greater Government action and programmes designed to encourage physical activity within school is supported both by teenagers and fitness professionals. In recent years the emphasis has been placed on children and teenagers to find their own time to exercise as school time is increasingly prioritised to theoretical study. But teenagers argue that their free time, usually no more than a couple of hours a day once homework has been done, shouldn't be filled with exercise. One girl asks; "Why would a teenager want to spend their free time doing exercise especially when the less you exercise the harder and less enjoyable it gets?" After just a couple of mainly sedentary months exercise can seem like an unattainable dream. She goes on to argue that by the time a teenager has the maturity to realise that exercise is important they have probably gone for so long without exercise that it is very difficult to get back into it. Instead teenagers are asking for exercise to be part of the school day. "Schools have so much control over the lives of teenagers they should spend more time teaching them good habits". Teenagers aren't looking for more netball, hockey or football they're looking for new activities. Young people want activities that will show them results within a short period of time and help them to build the habit of exercise. The seminar was organized by Norden, Nordic Council of Ministers and the European Environment Agency to increase global awareness and discuss sustainable consumption patterns and lifestyles. The 11' x 11' sculpture titled 'Global Vision' was first commissioned by then President and CEO of the Exchange Homer J. Livingston and unveiled on July 8, 1993 when the Midwest Stock Exchange decided to change its name back to the original name of Chicago Stock Exchange. "We asked Lauren Grey to design a piece that would reflect the energy of our members, as well as the growing international reputation of the Exchange," said Livingston in 1993. "With 'Global Vision', Lauren has truly captured the interrelationship of art and business." The work features three hand-hammered copper figures representing traders at work. Behind the traders are two large black acrylic arches. One depicts the original Chicago Stock Exchange building entranceway arch (now at the Art Institute), and the other the Exchange's current logomark. All the elements are visually tied together by long acrylic rods which circle an elliptical globe and represent fiber optic communications lines spanning the globe. Sculptor Lauren Grey credited her inspiration in part to her long association with the Exchange. She designed the corporate identity program when the Exchange moved from 120 S. LaSalle Street to 440 S. LaSalle in 1985, and also designed and developed the Visitor's Gallery for the Exchange. She specializes in commission work for businesses and her work is held in collections in more than 40 countries. She maintains a studio in the Chicago area. In April of 2009, the Chicago Stock Exchange cut its space at One Financial Place, giving up the trading floor it had built and occupied since 1985 as exchanges have gone electronic and no longer require massive trading floors. This meant not only giving up the 4th floor, but the Members' Dining Room, the Visitor's Gallery on the 5th floor (which had been closed since the attacks on 9/11), and also the Grand Staircase, which was the location of 'Global Vision'. "Having read the script, I assumed that I wouldn't be affected" Gozlan said "but Michael Sheen and Maria Bello's heart wrenching performance really moved me." Picked up by US Anchor Bay Entertainment after its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival, the film will open in theaters in the US on June 3rd, and Canada on June 17th, 2011 followed closely by an international launch.
