The Corvus Group Delivers Due Diligence Solutions on More Than $5 Billion of Commercial Real Estate Loans

The 170 loans in the two projects were collectively valued at $5.53 billion.

The engagements, which Corvus Capital Markets completed in partnership with RSM McGladrey, Inc., encompassed customized asset summary reports, data capture, aggregation and analysis, underwriting review and valuation estimates.

Completed in two weeks, the buyer due diligence assignment addressed an asset pool of more than 130 loans valued in excess of $5 billion, including individual loans as high as $150 million.

For the seller due diligence engagement, the Corvus/RSM McGladrey teams mobilized at six locations nationwide to scan, image and index the source documents of a 40-loan portfolio totaling $130 million. The client used the resulting asset summary reports to market the loans for sale.

In total, Corvus Capital Markets completed more than $8 billion of buyer and seller due diligence engagements in 2010 and expects to remain highly active in this marketplace in 2011.

“HIT THE DECK” baseball was made after one of the great baseball pinball games of the 80's. The magazine aims to uncover stories of real significance, to spend quality time with the people whose lives are profoundly affected by what is happening around them, and to showcase gritty photographs of the world as it truly is.

For the first issue, Auto de Fe sent a photographer to Bhopal in India, 26 years after the Union Carbide disaster, to see how people are coping with its aftermath – fighting for compensation and help against the odds, and ignored by their government, with the outside world apparently bored with their story. During his investigations in the Union Carbide Corporation's factory the Auto de Fe photographer was hospitalised for five days due to chemical exposure.

Other stories in the first issue include a look at a denim factory in Cambodia specialising in taking in brand new jeans and giving them exactly the right wear and tear to make them desirable to the in-crowd. The magazine also features a photo-story from Helmand province, showing the last British presence there before the handover to American forces, and then returns to London to follow a drag queen on a tour of performance venues!
