Sony Ericsson's Xperia PLAY is set to arrive on Verizon's shelves sometime this spring, but don't think that that'll be the only time we see an SE-branded device launching on a CDMA carrier. Speaking with PCMag, Sony Ericsson product marketing manager Stephen Sneeden explained that his company is recommitting to CDMA after a stint of releasing only GSM products. SE is also going all-Android all the time here in the U.S., which could include some lower-end, more affordable devices alongside...

Verizon customers, heads up. Reports are flying in that Big Red is currently experiencing problems with both its 3G and 4G data networks. If a rumor that the company is second-guessing the Motorola XOOM Android-powered tablet doesn’t have you intrigued, then perhaps the idea that the company is working on their own mobile operating system will pique your interest. AT&T and T-Mobile deal will meet a lot of FCC opposition, official claims

Posted:

There's no question that the potential AT&T-Mobile deal would have a huge impact on the industry, giving one company around 130 million subscribers and knocking the number of major carriers in the U.S. from four to three. The acquisition still has to go through a federal approval process, and although AT&T has tried to make sure that it does get the A-OK by doing things like promising LTE expansion in rural areas, one FCC official isn't so sure that the deal will get approved. Speaking with The...
